Tide pool

It is a lovely spring day And I am tempted to wander down, Down to the water's edge And explore the tidepools Like I did when I was child. I am tempted to scramble over rocks, Slick and slippery. Searching for sure footing, Stepping with lightness and grace, Maneuvering safe paths, Looking for hidden pools, … Continue reading Tide pool

April Poetry

I set a challenge to write a poem a day, because it is April, because it is Poetry month - and so far have been*OK* about meeting that challenge.  Why do the mornings go too fast for me to finish a poem, why does my husband talk to me at just the wrong time?  Anyway, … Continue reading April Poetry

Fierce Kitty: A Poem

Poem 2 for a Poem a day in April!     A spring rain
Falls suddenly,
Swiftly.
Kitty and I are drenched.
We seek a warm corner,
I with tea
And kitty
Wary for danger.
My fierce kitty
Chases her tail.
She sees it
Out of the corner
Of her eye.
She watches.
And waits.
Such a patient kitty.
So so slowly,
And carefully,
Articulating each movement,
She prepares to
POUNCE!
For … Continue reading Fierce Kitty: A Poem
