Single Drop

It is poetry month and I was committed to write a poem -a-day.  But, darn it, life happened.  I have had to settle with reading poetry and trying to weave a poetic line or two into academic writing.  So I prime my pen, get back to the thing.

Today the prompt is drop:

Those April rains,
Showers,
Light in the morning,
Misty on the water,
Provide a
Single drop,
A drop of
Rain
That simply
Mesmorizes me
As it weaves
Its path down the glass...
Gathering volume
Careening it's way
To gather
And pool
And simply
Dissapear.
