Poem for a Friend

The prompt word today in Perspicacious.  I had to look it up, and realized that while it is a *fun* word, it is not pretty enough for a poem.  In case you don’t know what it means, this Poem is the definition:

Perspicacious: A Poem
That friend who
Makes you laugh,
Makes you think,
Makes you defend.
That friend who has
-Ready insight
That friend who is
-Shrewd
And she is
-Perceptive
Also -astute
And -quick witted.

You love that friend,
Everyone loves that friend.
That friend who challenges you
To stand by your beliefs,
Back up your words.
She wont let you
-Repeat
-Mimic
-Copy
The thoughts of others.
She wants to know
What
YOU
Think.
