A poem a day in April.  A fun and challenging project!  Today’s word is “Partake.”

I spent so much of
My Life,
Living in fear.
Fear of what
Other thought.
Fear of what
I did not know.
Fear of 
The unknown.

I did not partake
In what I feared.
I did not
Embrace new
Experiences.

Somewhere
Sometime
Somehow
A turning point came.
It was not a 
Singular moment,
Something I 
Can touch.

It just happened.
Those I love
Pushing me to 
Try
New 
Things.
Have
New
Experiences.
So many
Experiences 
That my fear

Diminished.
